Analogrunner, a collector of analog sounds and a current traveler in time, decided, after last year's successful vinyl release Kolorika EP, to reconstruct an older composition composed in modulator and mmt8 and release it as a single.
The impulse came during last year's Kolorika tour, which he organized and invited his court vocalist - Possimiste. It was from her that came an inspiring vision of the underwater world, mermaids and sirens, linking emotional burnout and the perceptive feeling of emerging during the stretching periods of depression, symbolized by plastic mountains at sea level.
Since it was a composition of older data, it was necessary to completely reconstruct the old patches, search for old instruments, rearrange and reload everything. During the works, an idea came up with an acoustic version, Jakub Rizman performed melodic parts with his harp and played all the arrangements in a unique way. Furthermore, the author continued to search for acoustic spectra and sound sources, which in the original came from pure electrical signals.
Thus, in the acoustic version, a percussion from a metal box full of dairy dog teeth, a rumbling wooden floor, or a rubber hammer hitting a metal box will appear. Possimiste also sang vocal parts and so they appear clean - in contrast to Shermans marked with extraterestrial-sounding vocal parts from the original.
Unexpectedly, the author also sang backvocals - according to his own words, it is the singing of a sailor, resisting the singing of an attractive siren. Tom Karásek (Gaex) honed the sound and mastering with endless patience and excellent hearing in his Gargle & Expel studio in Prague. The cover, symbolizing a fragment of the underwater world, was created by graphic designer Mellow.
A music video is currently being prepared, half of which was shot in Estonia and Iceland and the other in Slovakia. Stina Seppel, Samo Benický and Rasťo Hadvig Zrnek were behind the camera. Grading, FX: Andrej Červeň. Possimiste was artistically made up by make-up artist Annabel Janke and directed by Andrea Horečná. The light of the world should see during the fall.
